Searching for 2025-26 Student Representative for Suffolk Education Foundation Board of Directors
The Suffolk Education Foundation is seeking a student member to be the voice of their peers on our board. Our primary purpose is to serve the STUDENTS, faculty, and staff of Suffolk Public Schools. The candidate must desire to speak on behalf of their peers and provide insight on how the Education Foundation can better serve our student constituents.
Applications are due no later than Friday, June 6, 2025.
A candidate for the board will need to be a rising junior or rising senior and must:
- Have a 3.0 or greater GPA
- Not had any disciplinary actions in the current school year
- Have the support and permission of the parent or custodian
- Receive a recommendation from a faculty or staff member
- Receive a recommendation from a community member
The appointment will be for one year beginning in July, and can be renewed for one year. The first board meeting of the 2025-26 year is in August.
A short list of candidates will be contacted for an interview via Zoom. SEF will directly email the individuals the students name for recommendations.
